Huazhong University of Science and Technology
Founded in 1971, the HUST pharmacy school is one of the oldest pharmacy schools in the south-central of China. Over the past 40 years, it has developed nationally and internationally recognized research programs in pharmaceutics, medicinal and natural products chemistry, clinical pharmaceutical sciences, pharmaceutical socioeconomics, and pharmacy practice. School of Pharmacy has now 82 faculty and staff, including 16 professors and 20 associate professors. Among them there are one academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 1 Changjiang Scholar, 3 awardees of new century excellent scholar supporting program. Funded by the state for drug discovery, School of pharmacy offers a variety of programs including 2 bachelor’s programs, 7 master’s programs, and 6 doctoral programs. And 800 students are studying at the school for their promising future including 580 undergraduates, 165 postgraduates and 45 doctors. School of pharmacy has established a comprehensive platform for new drug and also co-foundered the national nano-drug research center. It is also active in international academic exchanges. It has made academic exchange agreements with many higher education institutions in different countries and regions of the world, including Marburg University School of Pharmacy and Dusseldorf University School of pharmacy.
