Kharkiv International Medical University – Kharkiv, Ukraine
Kharkiv National Medical University formerly known as Kharkiv Medical Institute and Previously Kharkiv State Medical University, it is a medical university in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Kharkiv International Medical University is in the TOP-10 best private institutions of higher education, the first international medical university of European level.
In 1994, by a Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Kharkiv Medical Institute served as the basis for founding Kharkiv State Medical University; the latter received the highest 4th category by results of its accreditation and fully justifies it today. In 2007 the University received the National status.
Today, Kharkiv International Medical University has created a comprehensive system of multilevel continuing education. Introduced advanced teaching technologies, clear organization of various types of university activities, and established mechanisms to improve practical skills – all these factors make an important contribution to strengthening the position of our university at the Ukrainian and international levels.
The University trains specialists in the field of preparation of 22 “Health” at the medical faculty in the specialty “Medicine” (222), term of study – within 6 years, form of study – full-time, KIMU has the highest IV degree of accreditation.
Today KIMU is a real university complex that meets European quality standards and provides students with ample opportunities for quality training. The high rank of the University of KIMU confirms the wide range of directions of educational and scientific activity.
Kharkiv International Medical University aims to become one of the leading medical universities in Ukraine, operating on the basis of the creation, development and preservation of existing scientific schools training highly qualified specialists with active life position, modern knowledge, practical skills, innovative thinking and necessary competencies to meet socio-economic needs society, Ukrainian and foreign spaces in the field of health care and medicine.
The priority mission of the university in the field of quality of education is to ensure high competitiveness of higher education in the domestic and foreign markets of educational services, research and innovation.
The organization has been preparing specialists in the field of medicine since 1951. The language of instruction in KIMU are Russian and English. Currently, there are 7000 students, out of which around 2150 students belong to foreign nations. Among them 700 students are Indians.
