Vinnytsia National Medical University named after MI Pirogov – Vinnytsia, Ukraine
Vinnytsia National Medical University was founded in 1921. University is located in Vinnytsia, city on the southern bug river, the large multimedia fountain roshen emits sound and colored light.
In 1960 the school was named after MI Pirogov, in 1984 it was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor. Since 1994, Vinnytsia Medical Institute has been certified and accredited at the IV level of accreditation, it has been granted the status of a University. He acquired the national status of the university in 2002, in the same year he was awarded diplomas of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The University has a high level of provision of teachers with academic degrees and titles. Almost every sixth university teacher is a doctor of sciences, professor. Students are taught by 126 doctors of sciences and 677 candidates of sciences.
At the medical university 6250 students are trained, including 2080 foreigners. In total about 44000 doctors, among them 2100 specialists of the highest level, possessing the Candidate’s and Ph.D., M.D. degrees, including more than 7500 foreign citizens from 106 foreign countries of Europe, Asia, Middle East, Latin America, Africa) have been trained.
Computer technologies are widely used in the educational process and university management. The university has 12 scientific schools. The university maintains creative ties and cooperates with the medical faculties of universities in 19 foreign countries.
