Volgograd State Medical University – Volgograd, Russia
Volgograd State Medical University is located in a city called Volgograd which is situated in the southern part of Russia on the west bank of the Volga River. It started as Stalingrad Medical Institute founded in 1935. In 1993 it got the status of the Academy, and in 2003 it was granted the status of the University. The University is listed in the Directory of Higher Medical Schools recognized by the World Health Organization.
It has also been working with the British Council, the World Health Organization, The United Nations Educational, Social and Cultural Organization, the World Federation for Medical Education and the US Agency for International Development as a collaborative effort. The Volgograd State Medical University has been awarded a high rank amongst many other Medical Universities in Russia. It has been able to attract extremely high qualified teaching staff from all across the world since its very inception.
